Meet Our Professors: Megan Brunsvold, Dance

Megan Brunsvold has been teaching, choreographing, and performing throughout the country for the past seventeen years. Now, Brunsvold has taken her talents to Southern Utah University to be an assistant professor of dance in the Department of Theater Arts and Dance. Her experience and talents have landed her this position where she is able to work with students day in and day out, making art through the form of dance.

Phoebe Bock, a senior theatre arts major at Southern Utah University, didn’t initially intend to make the theatre her home. He was drawn to music because of the creative freedom to make art that was entirely his own. He transferred to SUU in the fall of 2017 from Antelope Valley College, a school in his hometown of Lancaster, California.

Art and Design Students Gain Experience in Tennessee

Alexa Harding and Elizabeth Edwards were awarded scholarships this summer to the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, an internationally recognized visual art education center, located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The school provides creative experiences year-round with different workshops focused on visual arts. The experience gave Harding and Edwards a chance to expand their education and dive deeper into their art.

Student Helps SUU Honors You Program

Halie Hagerty, a senior chemistry education major with minors in photography and physics education at Southern Utah University, has been volunteering for the last two years with the SUU Honors You program. The program invites kids from low income families to SUU’s campus to learn about the importance of higher education and ways to pay for it.
